Alvino Bagni
Alvino Bagni (1919–2009) developed a passion for ceramics from a young age thanks to Arnaldo Pugi, who helped him open his first workshop after the war, where his inseparable wife Gina also worked.
Celebrated between the 1950s and 1980s for their artistic quality and innovative techniques, Ceramiche Bagni became a reference point for Italian ceramics worldwide. After the factory closed in 1990, he founded Nuove Forme, from which he retired a few years later, leaving behind a long legacy marked by passion, skill, and true dedication to craftsmanship.
Driven by a profound and genuine passion for ceramics, Alvino Bagni manages to transform the Tuscan craft tradition into a modern and recognisable language, capable of engaging with international design, thanks also to collaborations with companies such as Raymor and Rosenthal.
In his journey, he uniquely blends material, form, and aesthetics, creating truly innovative pieces for the time, always guided by modesty, determination, and a constant tension between craftsmanship and modernity.
